Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Murray articled with the firm in 1975 and was called to the B.C. Bar in September 1976. Murray has remained with the firm throughout his legal career, practicing continuously in the areas of business law, real estate, wills and estates. A particular area of focus for more than twenty-five years has been native land development, leasing and issues relating to reserve based business. Murray has had the distinct pleasure of representing numerous native land owners.

Murray has served for eight years as a director of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation and eleven years as a director of the Kelowna Museums Society.
