Katie was born and raised in Kamloops and attended Thompson Rivers University for undergrad before heading to the University of Saskatchewan for Law School.

While at the University of Saskatchewan, Katie volunteered with the Public Legal Education Association’s Consent Project and served as the Vice President of both Green Legal and the Corporate Law Club. She also wrote for the Saskatchewan Association of Environmental Law’s website and represented University of Saskatchewan at the 2022 Wilms and Shier Environmental Law Moot, where her and her team placed second.

Outside of work, Katie is excited to get back into hiking and skiing after living in Saskatchewan for three years and to spend time exploring Kelowna.
